| In April 2003 we received these great cards done by a group of friends participating in the first ever Swapola! Thank You so much to Jete, Latraviata, Madcap, Metalbird, Roina_Arwen, Slicktrick81 and Squidge for sharing these great cards with us! |
1. Bag Tag - Siamese |
(By Slicktrick81)
This scan shows both the tag in the bag and out, so you can see the full detail of this piece of artwork. The outside of the bag is stipled with purple ink and our Small Siamese cat & Cat's Meow stamp. The tag inside is done in rose and yellow. It also features stipling, but uses our Large Siamese stamp.

2. Bag Tag - Spike |
(By Slicktrick81)
This scan shows both the tag in the bag and out, so you can see the full detail of this piece of artwork. Slicktrick81 used stipling on both the bag and the tag, which features Large Spike on both. The bag is slightly more red and the tag uses purple hues, where Spike and the wording is more prevalent.

3. Earthtone Siamese |
(By Metalbird)
The piece of floral background paper on this card ties the whole thing together purr-fectly. The earth tones on earth tones just work so well! Great job on this one Metalbird!

4. Fraidy Cat Bookmark |
(By Slicktrick81)
The bottom of this bookmark displays a very crisp and sharp Fraidy Cat and You're the Cat's Meow wording. I think that clear embossing powder was used on both to make them stand out even more. The bookmark is stipled using the same color ink, and very faint shadows of Fraidy Cat echo all the way down the bookmark. A very original design!

5. Golden Spike |
(By Roina_Arwen)
The smoky effect around the edges was done by applying black ink to the edges with a sponge. You hold the card in your hand and just dab the sponge onto the ink pad and sort of "tap and pull outward" to get the effect - most of the ink will wind up on the edges. It's extremely simple to do! This card features our Large Spike stamp, embossed in gold on red paper.

6. Green and Gold Siamese |
(By Metalbird)
Metalbird is so great with colors! This card features different hues of green with a dramatic gold touch (eyelets, mini-clothespin, textured paper and embossing.) What flare!

7. Happy Cat Shadow Boxes |
(By Jete)
OK, now that't it! Now I HAVE to go out and get some of those shadow box stamps - or maybe make some of our own we could carry on Stampola? I LOVE the way that Jete used the shadow boxes with our Happy Cat stamp to make a clean, simple and fun card - that's the style I am partial too if you can't tell. **grin**

8. Hypnotizing Happy Cats |
(By Roina_Arwen)
Look into my eyes...are you getting sleepy yet? If you look closely at this card you will notice how cleverly Roina_Arwen masked off areas so the wording wouldn't overlap. This is a really fun card that looks just great! More ideas brewing in my head..

9. Jewelled Vellum Cat Tag |
(By Latraviata)
Two layers make up this tag, with stamping on each. The top layer is see-through vellum, which adds depth to the whole design. Metal wire and glass beads complete the design.

10. Kitties Love Yarn |
(By Latraviata)
Latraviata appropriately named this card on the back, so I didn't even have to come up with one - and this name is perfect! Now I just have to be careful that Peabo doesn't snake this card from my collection.
