What are art rubber stamps and what is rubber stamping?

Rubber stamps come in several flavors, business rubber stamps (for return addresses, labels, dates, etc) music chord stamps (for diagramming chords) and art rubber stamps for making art. Rubber stamp art can be made with paper cards, envelopes, scrapbooks, journals and similar media.

Rubber stamping is an art form. As a painter uses brushes and paints, a rubber stamp artist uses art rubber stamps, ink, embellishments and other items for their chosen media. These tools are their means for creative expression.

We invite you to explore our online art rubber stamp store and rubber stamp art gallery pages and hope you will find creative ideas and inspiration here.

Stampola Newsletter - November 11, 2005

We're deep into November already,
get that Newsletter done would ya!
(Business is good and babies are a lot of work)

Thanks for the cards!
First of all, thanks so much to Gine, Shauna and Syd for sending us the adorable Baby Congrats cards. I will be creating a category for them in the gallery soon and posting them. When I do, the link will be provided in the newsletter for all to see. It's so nice to get something in the mail that isn't a bill, don't you think?

New Items Coming Soon
We have some really fun new things on the horizon. These images should be ready in about 4 weeks (if I could get jammin, then sooner, but I'm afraid to commit to anything aggresive at this point). We will be releasing a fantastic retro alphabet set, a very fun girly alphabet set, and an entire "Hippy" set that consists of a funny Hippy dude, 8-10 hats, 8-10 sayings, and possibly even a few matching background stamps. Think "Hippy Birthday", "Hippy Holidays", "Hippy Easter" and I think you'll get the idea. To see more of what we will be coming out with, be sure to visit our new
BLOGOLA and for a sneak peak. Here is a glimpse of the girly alphabet set that will be coming out soon!:

Clear & Clear Colored Envelopes
See Through Envelopes (Clear and Colored in 2 Sizes! - A2 & A7)
BACK BY POPULAR DEMAND, NOW NEW AND IMPROVED AND IN SMALLER QTY PACKETS SO YOU CAN STOCK UP ON MORE COLORS THAN EVER.

These are VERY difficult to find, but WE HAVE THEM!!! They are crystal clear (translucent) poly envelopes (like cellophane, not vellum) with the adhesive strip, but these are slightly colored to add just a bit more flare to your creation. These envelopes are colored on the inside so the color does not scratch off. They are thick, and have a resealable adhesive strip. They are crystal clear poly (plastic) envelopes, which are translucent so your cards will show through.

USPS Approved - just remember to use a self adhesive stamp and not the lick and stick kind!!

This month only - Buy 3 Packs of Envelopes, Get the 4th for Free. See coupon below for details.

Handmade Card Enclosed Rubber Stamp
Handmade Card Enclosed Rubber Stamp
This stamp is made using the Stampola font (which obviously I am partial to). It is something that I use almost any time I send someone a handmade card. Warn them before they go tearing into it or worse yet, throw it away thinking it was store bought! (I know you make cards that pretty, don't you???)

Handmade Card Enclosed Rubber Stamp (Mounted):
$5.75

Unmounted also available for $2.88

Merry Christmas Rubber Stamp
Merry Christmas Rubber Stamp
I LOVE this font and plan on using this in my Christmas cards this year. I made the stamp large enough that it can be a saying inside a card all it's own, or can be used separately as a background design.
Merry Christmas Rubber Stamp (Mounted): $5.75

Unmounted also available for $2.88

Nervous Turkey Rubber Stamp

Fractal Santa Example Card
Card of the Week (from our Christmas Card Gallery)
Take a look at this example card I made using our Nervous Santa and Merry Christmas stamps.

I like to refer to this card as the "Fractal Santa" (for those of you who are physics buffs, you'll get the reference). To make this fun card I simply stamped the Santa around in a circle by eye, using the poof ball on top of his hat for general guidance. I used Pigment based black ink. I then dusted all of the Santas with clear embossing powder and sealed with my heat gun. Next, I colored the Santas in with markers. I used my paper cutter to cut the Santas out in a rectangle shape leaving room for a layering paper underneath (complimentary color). I glue gunned some white pompoms onto the Santa Hat poof-balls (top of hat) for a 3D effect. You can also glue gun googly-eyes if you are into really making a funny card! I attached the background layer and the Santa layer to the card I was making. Next, stamp Merry Christmas in Metallic Gold Ink, and you are done! Total time - about 10-15 minutes.

As always, we appreciate your support and feedback.

Thanks for your interest! Have a great week!
